The weeks are racing by, and many of us are living under different kinds of COVID restrictions! Our 12 weeks of For The Love Of Christmas Gift-Giving series is designed with purpose – to help you select gifts reflecting the times we are living in – while at the same time resonating with Solo Living’s values of living sustainably and managing our self-care to live well.
Feeling socially connected is really important to us and taking the time to choose gifts we think will be sent from the heart and lovingly received is what we hope our lists inspire amongst you. Of course, we also hope our gift lists help to give us all something to look forward to during challenging times. Week by week we have been counting down to Christmas peppered with the hope that in whatever way we spend the holidays, we will find enjoyment and contentedness.
We hope that many of our gift suggestions and maker projects presented in the early weeks of our 12-week Gift-Giving Series would make the perfect Christmas gifts for teenagers and young adults. Yet, we thought it would be great to focus Week 8 for the Love of Christmas Gift Giving season, especially on them. For the teens and young adults in your life, have a look at the suggestions below. At the very least, we hope to provide some helpful inspiration given it isn’t always easy to buy for this young diverse in interest age group.
They have had a tough year too, many with the added exam/no-exam stress and plenty of limitations to their social life too. So, some extra special, standout gifts are in order!
Gen Z seems to be a notoriously tough age bracket to buy for – especially when looking for something a little different that is not tech or gaming related! We hope you will see some ideas here that will be delightfully received and treasured. Perhaps they will prove to be gifts they themselves had not thought they needed, but will soon come to love.
Custom made gifts are always appreciated – monogrammed or bespoke. We thought we would start with this sweet makeup bag which is a perfect stocking filler and means there will be no makeup confusion in flat-shares!
These personalised pyjamas sets are something I am hoping to receive too! You can select a monogram or name and the set presented for boys can easily translate to a unisex option.
Christmas gift-giving is definitely a time for socks, and these custom face socks are a winning stocking filler!
Or, statement restyled customised Nike elite socks, which come in a lot of different cool designs.
It is difficult to choose and you may also fancy a pair or two for you – like the Grafitti or Ice cream options.
Pampering time can also be great for both teenagers and young adults, especially if they are spending more time at home. If your gift is intended for a new student or someone who has recently left home, one of these hampers could just be the perfect Christmas treat.
To be enjoyed with Organic Christmas pamper sets to have a really relaxing and restful Christmas eve.
Or, this luxury organic bath set.
Highlighting the importance of calm is this Seratonin necklace which can also be a reminder to us of all the things we can do to support our serotonin levels throughout the winter months.
An immediate serotonin booster can be in the form of Luxury gifts, and Gen Z is projected to become big lovers of luxury in the future. It is always great to receive a gift you might not buy for yourself, so as inspiration, this luxury book might be perfect for your gift.
On a more practical note, with both aesthetic and usefulness in equal measure, this luxury pestle and mortar could be perfect for a new apartment, and is a real investment piece. Well, they do say buy once and buy well!
Christmas Novelties are a great stocking filler gift and here are a couple of Christmas jumpers that will work year after year.
Also in the colder months for those exercising outdoors, these hand warmers might be the favourite gift ever on a freezing morning run.
And as it is 2020, it can be a fair prediction that we may all receive a face-covering in our stocking. Who would have predicted that last year when it was Christmas Gift-giving season?
That’s a wrap for Week 8 of our Christmas Gift-Giving Inspiration for teens and young adults. There are now only four weeks to go until it’s Christmas! Stay with us for the final few weeks as we reveal our Gift-Giving lists right up until Christmas Day. You can catch up with our hand-curated Christmas Gift guides by visiting our Shop.
